some new tequilas for cinco de mayo
Tequila Ocho just released its 2009 vintage. Ocho is sourced from single estates, which allows the tequila to showcase different aroma and flavor characteristics in each harvest. Both the Plata and Reposado varieties from Las Pomez are available now. The 2009 vintage of Añejo from El Carrizal, which is aged for a full year, will be released in July. Ocho was launched on August 8, 2008 in California , and the first vintage was sold out in less than six months. What differentiates Ocho from other tequilas and makes it unique in its category is its rarity. Because of the time it takes an agave to mature, each estate cannot be replenished for almost ten years after each harvest, thus making each vintage of Ocho a rare and collectable tequila. very, very smooth indeed…
As the fastest growing spirits category in the U.S., the folks over at GRAN CENTENARIO know consumers are thirsty for premium and aged tequilas. With summer right on our doorstep, enthusiasm for this refreshing spirit will likely grow. enter AZUL TEQUILA, a reposado tequila made from 100% blue agave, retailing for only $20 a bottle! for the price, the taste is excellent… so kick it up a notch and pour that margarita with reposado instead of silver for a change!!!

Definitely got to add these two to my collection. But, nothing will be patron.
