officially, it starts today. but unofficially, it started yesturday. and according to susan miller, it started spooling up a week ago! remember, if you can help it, no contract signing, back up your computer asap, double check everything and bring something to do wherever you go. but wait, mercury retrograde IS good for something! it’s actually a great time to revisit the past… susan miller also says that more birth parents are found under this transit than any other. little story… i was in love with my neighbor some years ago… unfortunetly i could not have him, try as i might! actually, we moved into the same apartment building on the same weekend, and as it turns out we used to know each other as children. unbelievable… but true. yes, it was an agonizing scenario. but, one i’m quite used to at this point in my life… see, i have venus in capricorn. this aspect makes for a rather painful love life, to say the least. but that’s another tale for another post… long story short, i finally moved out of the apartment building we shared and moved on with my life. but six years later, here i was still thinking about this boy again. so i said, you know, i’m gonna call him! i waited 2 1/2 months patiently until the big day arrived… mercury retrograde. now neighbor boy had started working for the DEA as an undercover drug enforcement officer. his whereabout were rather top secret, as of course were the cases to which he was assigned. i was pretty sure i’d have to leave like twenty messages on tweny different machines before i’d any hope of actually speaking to him. i really didn’t expect to chat with him at all. but wouldn’t you know, the power of mercury retrograde… i called the DEA branch where he worked and told the operator i was just an old friend trying to get in touch with him. and voila, i was connected to his cell and talking to one of the great loves of my life, real time! i shocked the shit out of both of us. had a nice conversation… he’s married with a kid now… nice to get closure on that chapter of my life! i drudge up my sordid past only to convey the power of this under rated transit. coincidence you say? i personally am not a fan of those. so this mercury retrograde, finish up that project that’s been sitting on your desk for a year, call an old friend, organize your files, perfect those cocktail recipes one last time…. cheers : )
