I have lived in NY for over 20 years and every animal I have ever had has been one that I found. My most recent kitty was found in the basement of a local laundromat. I concur with you! I have personally found that rescue pets tend to have the best character out of all pets. My rescue kitty has an anxiety problem where he hates being cornered and held. But if you get a milk cap on the floor in front of him, he will entertain you for hours with flying antics. It makes me happy to see that there are people out there who care. Proving, that where there is a will, there is a way to keep your pet! Its a lifetime commitment - their lifetime. No excuses. I have blogged about Pet Happy Hours on both coasts.
